Garment Inspection
Every garment is reviewed on arrival. We assess fabric type, construction, staining, embellishments and any special instructions before selecting a cleaning method.
Appropriate Cleaning Method
Garments are cleaned using the method suited to the fabric — whether that is dry cleaning, wet cleaning or hand finishing. We do not apply a single process to every garment.
Professional Finishing
After cleaning, garments are pressed, steamed or hand-finished according to the fabric and garment type. Structured garments such as suits and gowns receive additional shaping.
Final Quality Check and Packaging
Before return, each garment is inspected a second time. Orders are then carefully packaged and prepared for delivery or in-store collection.
Delicate and embellished garments require individual assessment before any cleaning begins. Fabric construction, pleating, embroidery, zari, beadwork and silk all respond differently to heat, moisture and cleaning agents. We inspect each garment individually and select the appropriate method before any treatment starts.

Contact us by phone or email before sending your garment. We will ask you to submit photographs and describe the fabric, embellishments and any staining.
Packing Instructions
We will send you specific packing guidance. Do not fold delicate embellishments under pressure. Use tissue paper for silk and heavily embroidered garments.
Approved Shipping Methods
We accept garments shipped via USPS, UPS or FedEx with full tracking and declared value insurance. We do not accept liability for garments shipped without insurance.
Garment Inspection and Final Price
On arrival, your garment is inspected. We will confirm the final price before any cleaning begins. You will be contacted for approval if the assessed price differs from the initial estimate.
Payment
Payment is required before return shipping. We accept all major credit cards.
Cleaning and Return Shipping
After cleaning, your garment is carefully packaged and returned via a tracked and insured shipping method. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.

Mail-in orders typically take 7–14 business days from receipt, depending on garment type and current volume. We will notify you of any delays.
Liability and Insurance
Top Hat Cleaners is not liable for garments damaged in transit before or after cleaning. We recommend insuring your shipment for the full replacement value of the garment.

Yes. We provide specialist cleaning for wedding dresses, formal gowns and structured bridal garments. Each garment is assessed for fabric, construction, embellishments and staining before any treatment begins.

24/7 drop-off and collection kiosks are available at select participating store locations. Kiosk availability varies by location.
How does the dry-cleaning membership work?
The monthly dry-cleaning membership costs $50 per month and provides $65 in dry-cleaning credit — $15 in additional cleaning value each billing period. Credit applies to eligible dry-cleaning services at participating locations. Credit does not roll over. A three-month minimum commitment applies.
Do you offer laundry services for businesses?
Yes. We work with DFW businesses that need recurring laundry and garment care. Industries we serve include medical practices, restaurants, salons, hotels and uniformed teams.
